The concept of a festival headed jointly by Nobuko Imai and Macarena Pesutic was conceived five years ago in the Canary Islands. Touting wonderful facilities and a fantastic auditorium, the Canarian Conservatory of Music in Tenerife has an environment conducive to music making, providing incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Each of the ten selected viola students will receive individual lessons with Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox, Veit Hertenstein and Macarena Pesutic. The classes will be focused on both solo and accompanied viola repertoire.

Nobuko Imai will give a workshop focused on questions & answers to all students and auditors.

Active students will also receive coaching by Javier Lanis and Minze Kim, official pianists of the masterclasses.

En mayo de 2017 nace la idea de Nobuko Imai y Macarena Pesutic de crear un festival en Tenerife, dedicado a la viola. El Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias, por su infraestructura y su auditorio, es el espacio perfecto para hacer música, rodeado por la belleza de la isla y las vistas al océano Atlántico.

Cada uno de los ocho estudiantes activos de viola seleccionados recibirá clases individuales Nobuko Imai, Garth Knox, Veit Hertenstein y con Macarena Pesutic. Se trabajará el repertorio de viola con y sin piano.

Nobuko Imai impartirá una charla-taller con preguntas y respuestas para todos los alumnos que participen en el curso.

El alumnado activo trabajará junto a Javier Lanis y Minze Kim, pianistas oficiales del festival.
