A prize-winner at three of the most prestigious international violin competitions - the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Queen Elizabeth in Brussels and the Indianapolis - Marco Rizzi has soon been recognised as one of the most interesting young violinists of his generation and was awarded the Europäischen Musikförderpreis on the recommendation of Claudio Abbado.

Marco Rizzi is regarded as one of the most appreciated musicians from Italy. He regularly appeared in leading concert halls such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Salle Gaveau and Salle Pleyel in Paris, Lincoln Center in New York, the Concertgebouwin Amsterdam, the Philharmonic Society of Brussels, the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, the Hamburger Musikhalle, the Berlin Konzerthaus and the Tivoli of Copenhagen. He worked with such notable conductors as R. Chailly, G. Noseda, A. Ceccato, P. Eötvös, V. Jurowski, S. Denéve, G. Neuhold and was soloist with orchestras such as the Staatskapelle Dresden, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Hong Kong Philharmonic, Orchestre de Concerts Lamoureux, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Orquesta RTVE of Madrid, BBC Scottish, Netherlands Philharmonic, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano 'G.Verdi', Radio Chamber Orchestra Holland, and many others.

Passionate about chamber music, Marco Rizzi cooperates with artists like A. Lucchesini, M. Brunello, E. Dindo, L. Zylberstein, G. Hoffman, N. Imai, M. Fischer-Dieskau, D. Poppen, and is dedicatee of various contemporary works composed by A. Corghi, L. Francesconi, F. Vacchi, U. Bombardelli, C. Galante, U. Pedraglio and U. Leyendecker among others.

Marco Rizzi recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, Amadeus, Nuova Era, Dynamic, Warehouse, etc.

Marco Rizzi is fulfilling his dedication to younger artists teaching at prestigious institutions like the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid, the Hochschule für Musik in Detmold and in Mannheim as well the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. He is regularly serving as juror in important violin competitions such as the Queen Elisabeth Competition (Bruxelles), the Joachim Violin Competition (Hannover) or the Paganini Violin Competition (Genova), several of his students have been prize winners in distinguished international contests.

ENRICO BRONZI

Cellist and conductor, Enrico Bronzi is born in Parma in 1973. He is the cellist of the Trio di Parma, with whom he has carried out intense concert activity since 1990, appearing in the most important concert halls of Europe, USA, South America and Australia (Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Berlin Philharmonie, Wiener Konzerthaus, Kölner Philharmonie, Herkulessaal in Munich, St. Peterburg Philharmonic Hall, Wigmore Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires). The group has also successfully competed in a number of international competitions in Florence, Melbourne, Lyon and Munich, and has received the “Premio Abbiati” from Italian musical critics. Since 2001, Bronzi has coupled his chamber group activity with an active career as a soloist, which after having won a prize in the Rostropovich Competition in Paris, culminated with the first prize in the Paulo Cello Competition of Helsinki in 2002. On that occasion, he also received the Special Prize dedicated to R. Sommer for the best performance of Dvorak’s Concerto with the Helsinki Philarmonic. He regularly participates in a number of festivals  including Lucerne, Melbourne, Turku, Naantali, Stresa, Ravenna, and Lockenhaus. He has performed as soloist under the direction of C. Abbado, V. Delman, C. Eschenbach, P. Berglund, F. Bruggen, K. Penderecki. He appeared together with international musicians like  Martha Argerich, Alexander Lonquich, Gidon Kremer, Angela Hewitt, Wolfram Christ, Stefan Milenkovich, Joshua Bell, Hagen Quartett, Giardino Armonico. He was taught conducting by Jorma Panula and has appeared as guest conductor and soloist with Orchestra Mozart, Camerata Salzburg, Kremerata Baltica, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Orchestra della Toscana, Orchestra Filarmonica del Teatro La Fenice, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Orchestra Haydn. For three years he collaborated as cello solo at the La Scala Theatre in Milan and he regularly takes place in the juries of major international competitions (Premio Borciani, Premio ‘Trio di Trieste’, Concorso ‘V. Gui’ of Florence, Turku Cello Competition…).  He carries out an intense activity teaching and he has been a professor at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg since 2007. He’s Artistic Director of the activity of the Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica. Enrico Bronzi plays a Vincenzo Panormo cello dated 1770.

Cellista y director, Enrico Bronzi nació en Parma en 1973. Miembro del Trio di Parma, ha llevado una intensa agenda de conciertos desde 1990 en las salas más importantes de Europa, Estados Unidos, Sudamérica y Australia (Carnegie Hall y Lincoln Center de New York, Berlin Philharmonie, Wiener Konzerthaus, Kölner Philharmonie, Herkulessaal de Munich, St. Peterburg Philharmonic Hall, Wigmore Hall y Queen Elizabeth Hall de London y el Teatro Colón y Buenos Aires). El ensamble ha competido exitosamente en numerosos concursos internacionales en Florence, Melbourne, Lyon y Munich, y han recibido el premio “Premio Abbiati” de la crítica musical italiana. 

Desde el año 2001, Enrico Bronzi compagina su carrera como solista con la música de cámara. Ha sido galardonado en Concours International de Violoncelle Rostropovitch de París y ha ganado el primer premio Paulo Cello Competition de Helsinki en 2002, recibiendo también en esta ocasión el premio especial dedicado a R. Sommer a la mejor interpretación del concierto de Dvorak, interpretado junto a la Filarmónica de Helsinki. 

Regularmente participa en los festivales de Lucerna, Melbourne, Turku, Naantali, Stresa, Ravenna y Lockenhaus. Ha actuado como solista bajo la batuta de C. Abbado, V. Delman, C. Eschenbach, P. Enrico Bronzi tiene una intensa actividad pedagógica como profesor de la Univesität Mozarteum de Salzburg, desde 2007. Paralelamente, es el director artístico de las actividades de Fundazione Perugia Musica Classica.

GENEVIÈVE LAURENCEAU

es considerada una de las representantes más brillantes y heterogéneas del violín francés. Sus múltiples actividades como solista, músico de cámara, pedagoga y directora de festivales la convierten en una música consumada, que vive su pasión en todas sus formas.

Comenzó a tocar el violín a los tres años de edad en Estrasburgo, su ciudad natal. Sus maestros, Wolfgang Marschner, Zakhar Bron y Jean-Jacques Kantorow, dieron forma a una artista polifacética, en la que convergen tres grandes escuelas europeas del violín,

Tras varios éxitos internacionales y un primer premio en el concurso internacional de Novossibirsk, ganó el quinto concurso Le Violon de l'Adami grabó su primer disco junto al pianista Jean-Frédéric Neuburger.

Geneviève Laurenceau ha sido invitada a actuar como solista con las principales orquestas francesas e internacionales, bajo la dirección de directores como François-Xavier Roth, Michel Plasson, Walter Weller, Tugan Sokhiev, Thomas Sondergard, Antony Hermus o Christian Arming.

Supersolista de primer violín de la Orquesta del Capitolio de Toulouse de 2007 a 2017, vivió plenamente esta experiencia, hasta que su necesidad de creatividad la impulsó a buscar nuevos nuevos rumbos artísticos.

En 2011, Geneviève Laurenceau fue elegida "Artista del año" por ResMusica.

Amante del escenario, compartiendo y creyendo profundamente en los valores esenciales del arte, la cultura y la música, Geneviève Laurenceau es una apasionada de los encuentros interdisciplinarios, ya sea a través de su quinteto de cuerdas "Smoking Joséphine", creado en 2018, o "La Symphonie des oiseaux", un espectáculo musical y onírico, con los cantantes de pájaros Johnny Rasse y Jean Boucault.

Comprometida con el repertorio contemporáneo, trabaja habitualmente con compositores como Benjamin Attahir, Karol Beffa, Benoit Menut, Fabien Touchard y Philippe Hersant, quienes le dedican sus obras.

Geneviève Laurenceau is considered one of the most brilliant and diverse representatives of the French violin. Her multiple activities as a soloist, chamber musician, educator and festival director make her an accomplished musician, living her passion in all its forms.

She began playing the violin at the age of three in Strasbourg, her hometown. Her teachers, Wolfgang Marschner, Zakhar Bron and Jean-Jacques Kantorow, shaped a multifaceted artist, converging three of the most important European violin schools.

After several international successes and a first prize at the Novossibirsk International Competition, she won the Fifth Competition Le Violon de l'Adami and recorded her first album with the pianist Jean-Frédéric Neuburger.

Geneviève Laurenceau has been invited to perform as a soloist with the main French and international orchestras, under the direction of conductors such as François-Xavier Roth, Michel Plasson, Walter Weller, Tugan Sokhiev, Thomas Sondergard, Antony Hermus or Christian Arming.

First violin super soloist of the Toulouse Capitole Orchestra from 2007 to 2017, she lived this experience to the full until her need for creativity prompted her to seek new artistic directions.

 In 2011, Geneviève Laurenceau was chosen "Artist of the Year" by ResMusica.

A lover of the stage and deeply believing in the essential values of art, culture and music, Geneviève Laurenceau is passionate about encounters with her string quintet "Smoking Joséphine", created in 2018, or "La Symphonie des oiseaux", a musical and dreamlike spectacle imagined with the bird singers Johnny Rasse and Jean Boucault.

Committed to the repertoire of her time, she regularly works with composers such as Benjamin Attahir, Karol Beffa, Benoit Menut, Fabien Touchard and Philippe Hersant, who dedicate their works to her.

Her regularly awarded discography gives pride of place to the French repertoire.

Caught up in the teaching adventure in 2017, when Philippe Jaroussky asked her to join the team of teachers at his academy, within La Seine musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, Geneviève is currently in charge of the violin classes at the Ecole Normale of Music Alfred Cortot in Paris, as well as at the IESM in Aix en Provence.

She is the artistic director of the Obernai Music Festival, founded under her direction in 2009.
